Infinity Partnership joins AMS Accountants Group, marking next chapter in its growth

Infinity Partnership is now an AMS company, marking an exciting new chapter for the Aberdeen-based accountancy and advisory firm as it continues to grow and expand its offering to clients.

As Infinity celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026, the move represents a natural next step in the firm’s journey – building on a strong foundation of relationship-led advice, long-standing client partnerships and a growing reputation across the north-east and beyond.

Clients will continue to work with the same team they know and trust, with no immediate changes to service. They will now also benefit from access to AMS’s broader capabilities, including audit, tax advisory, payroll, employment taxes and debt advisory, enhancing the support available at every stage of their business.

Infinity’s team of 35 people will remain in place, with continued investment planned to support future growth. The firm’s office on Carden Place will serve as AMS’s regional hub in Aberdeen as the combined business strengthens its presence in Scotland.

Founder Simon Cowie will continue to lead the business locally as Aberdeen Managing Director, working alongside AMS Regional Managing Partner Steven Fraser. Simon will also play a key role in shaping the future of the combined business in Scotland, supported by Wendy Atkinson, Director of Growth and Partnerships (Scotland).

The two firms have worked closely together over the past year across a range of client engagements, including audit and both corporate and tax advisory projects. This existing relationship, combined with a strong cultural alignment, made the partnership a natural fit.

Simon Cowie, Aberdeen Managing Director, said:

“We’ve built Infinity over the past 15 years into a strong, relationship-led firm, and it was important to find the right partner for the next stage. AMS brings additional scale and capability, which will benefit both our team and our clients, while allowing us to retain what has made Infinity successful.

“Having worked closely together over the past year, it quickly became clear that there is a strong cultural fit between the two firms. Combined with AMS’s specialist capabilities, this felt like a natural next step for the business.

“I’m very much looking forward to continuing to lead the business locally and building on what we’ve already created. I’m confident this will be a real success for both our team and our clients.”

Steven Fraser, Regional Managing Partner at AMS, added:

“Infinity is a well-established firm with a strong reputation for investing in its client relationships and building long-standing partnerships with the businesses it supports.

“This marks an important step in strengthening our presence in Scotland. By bringing Infinity into the group, we have a strong platform for growth in the north-east and beyond.”

This next phase positions Infinity strongly for the future, combining its local expertise and relationship-led approach with the scale and specialist capabilities of AMS.
